Young Investigators Award

 

In celebration of the 2025 World Congress on Kinesiology and Sport Science (2025 WCKSS), we are pleased to announce the Young Investigators Award (YIA) to recognize and support the research efforts of young scholars and researchers in the field of kinesiology and sport science. Please see the guidelines below for details on abstract submission and award eligibility.


2025 WCKSS Organizing Committee

o REQUIREMENTS 

• Must be under 40 years of age at the time of the event’s closing ceremony.

• Must be the primary author of an English-language abstract submitted for either an oral or poster presentation.

• Must select the Young Investigators Award (YIA) category during the abstract submission process.

• Must upload a valid form of identification (e.g., passport, driver’s license, or national ID).
*It is permissible to obscure all numerical information, except for the date of birth.

  

o AWARDS 

• Oral:

- 1st Place: ₩1,500,000 + Certificate

- 2nd Place: ₩1,000,000 + Certificate

- 3rd Place: ₩750,000 + Certificate

- 4th Place: Certificate

- 5th Place: Certificate

• Poster:

- 1st Place: ₩1,000,000 + Certificate

- 2nd Place: ₩700,000 + Certificate

- 3rd Place: ₩500,000 + Certificate

- 4th Place: Certificate

- 5th Place: Certificate

o ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

• Abstract Submission Period:

- 1st Abstract Submission: May 1 - July 31, 2025

- 2nd Abstract Submission: August 1 - 31, 2025

• Abstract Categories:

-  Exercise science

-  Sports management

-  Sport & exercise psychology

-  Sport biomechanics & technology

-  Sport pedagogy & fitness leadership

-  Sport nutrition, metabolism & obesity

-  Socio-cultural analyses of sport & physical activity

-  Sports medicine, athletic training, exercise rehabilitation, & adaptive medicine

Submission Instructions         Abstract Submission

o PRESENTATION

• Submission Period: September 8 - 25, 2025

• Oral

- Preliminary Round: 10 minutes (8-minute presentation + 2-minute Q&A session) 

- Final Round: 11 minutes (8-minute presentation + 3-minute Q&A session) 

*Please note: The organising committee reserves the right to make decisions and implement changes at its discretion regarding the award presentations.

- PPT size: 16:9, maximum 10 MB

 

• Poster: Free Discussion

- Physical Poster: A printed A0-sized poster to be displayed on a designated panel at the presentation venue. Please ensure the poster is prepared and printed in advance. 

- E-Poster: A digital version of the poster converted into a PDF file and submitted via email. 

*Authors will be notified in September regarding the required format of their presentation (physical poster or e-poster).
