Check if your abstract is accepted in ¡®My Participation List¡¯

The abstract submission for the ACK 2016 was closed in August 14. Currently, the ACKOC Scientific Review Board (SRB) is concentrating on reviewing the abstracts submitted in each field. You can check if your abstract is accepted in ¡®My Participation List¡¯ on the top of the ACK 2016 website. You can also check online registration, registration fee payment, abstract submission result, events and guest house reservation, and Young Investigator¡¯s Award (YIA) application result in ¡®My Participation List¡¯. If your abstract is in consideration, not accepted, you can supplement and edit your abstract until August 31, 2016. However, you should not change the title and keywords of your abstract. In particular, if there is a comment written by the SRB, you should supplement your abstract as early as possible reflecting the comment.

The Second Registration Deadline: August 31, 2016

The second registration period is from August 1 to 31, 2016. As participation fees will be increased as time goes by, it is cheaper to complete your registration at the earliest possible.

Young Investigator¡¯s Awards

The ACKOC will present Young Investigators Awards, YIA to enhance the research capacity of participants and encourage them. The ACKOC will classify the awards into the oral and poster presentation and award as many participants possible. To receive the award, participant should take part in the joint presentation hosted by the ACKOC. In particular, to receive the oral presentation award, participants should attend the final presentation held right before the closing ceremony, deliver the presentation, and answer questions. The ACKOC is considering granting awards to the youngest presenter, the oldest presenters, and the presenters from the farthest region along with the YIA.

The 17th World Congress of Korean and Asian Kinesiologists

The 17th World Congress for Korean and Asian Kinesiologists (WCKAK) will be held along with the ACK 2016 in Incheon National University in November 12 and 13, 2016. The participants of the ACK can listen to all the programs of the WCKAK 2016 for free. After the early bird registration and first abstract submission, the ACKOC estimates the approximate number of the ACK 2016 participants to be more than 300 people. Considering that the average number of participants of the WCKAK is around 1200 people, around 1500 people will gather up in Incheon National University. We will introduce the WCKAK 2016 program in detail in September. The registration for the ACK 2016 begins in November 11, 2016 (Fri) and the PCFASK meeting, workshop, and special lecture will go on in the afternoon of the same day. In November 12 (Sat) and 13 (Sun), 2016, exhibition, oral and poster presentation (including mini-oral for the YIA), symposium, and special lecture will be held. In the afternoon of the November 13 (Sun), final presentation for the YIA (oral presentation), special lecture, closing ceremony, and dinner banquet are scheduled. In the last day of the ACK 2016, November 14 (Mon), evaluation meeting for the ACK 2016, future ACK host meeting, and tour of Incheon National University and Seoul will be held.

The Effect of Exercise to Postmenopausal Women

Dr. Agustiningsih, Denny

Dr. Agustiningsih currently an associate professor at Universitas Gadjah Mada in Indonesia, studied in the faculty of medicine at Universitas Diponegoro for her bachelor's degree, finished her master's degree in basic medical science at the faculty of medicine of Universitas Gadjah Mada in Indonesia, and Ph.D. in the faculty of medicine at Universitas Gadjah Mada Yogyakarta. She has lectured about exercise physiology, physiology of cardio-respiratory system, physiology of biomechanics, and etc., and researched various topics including some of the latest, 'Exercise induces the synthesis of estrogen in ovariectomized Sprague-Dawley rats ventricular myocardium through increase expression of CYP19aromatase', 'Smoking habits and stress of work on musculoskeletal disorders on factory workers ferronickel section smelting' for the latest. She is a member of Indonesian Medical Doctors Association, as well as a member of preparatory committee for foundation of Asian Society of Kinesiology (PCFASK).

The Guest House

Attendees of the ACK 2016 can stay at the Global Guest House in Songdo, Incheon. The guest house is operated by the Incheon Global Campus and it is very cozy and cheap. Students may use standard rooms (Twin, $ 50 per night), and professors may use VIP rooms (Single, $ 100 per night). You can register at the ACK 2016 website from June 11 (MON).

Designated Hotel: The Central Park Hotel

For convenient accommodation of the ACK 2016 participants, the ACKOC signed a designated hotel partnership with the Central Park Hotel. The Central Park Hotel agreed to give a huge discount to the ACK 2016 participants staying in the hotel. Participants who want to stay in the hotel can submit a reservation form via email after downloading the Central Park Hotel Reservation Form (Click here) in 'News' menu of the ACK 2016 website. In Songdo, Incheon where the ASK 2016 will be held, there are many famous hotels, so you would find various kinds of excellent accommodations.
