The 2nd meeting of the Preparatory Committee for Foundation of Asian Society of Kinesiology(PCFASK) has been successfully closed!

 

 

The 2nd meeting of the Preparatory Committee for Foundation of Asian Society of Kinesiology(PCFASK) was held on the 17th and 18th of February, 2016 in Burapha University, Thailand.

 

 

           The attendees were ten members of PCFASK as follows: Dr. Oak, Jung Sok from Korea; Dr. Lu, Frank J.H from Taiwan; Dr. Miyakawa, Shunpei from Japan; Dr. Takemura, Masahiro from Japan; Dr. Ae, Michiyoshi from Japan; Dr. Agustiningsih, Denny from Indonesia; Dr. Suherman, Wawan Sundawan from Indonesia; Dr. Balasekaran, Govindasam from Singapore; Dr. Muhammad Hafiz Hanafi from Malaysia; Dr. Naruepon Vongjaturapat from Thailand, four guest members: Dr. Kim, Ki Hong from Korea; Dr. Kim, Kwang Hoi from Korea; Dr. Chatkamon Singnoy from Thailand; Dr. Kasem Chaiklongkit from Thailand, and four staffs: Ms. Jung, Soyeon from Korea; Ms. Kim, Dayoon from Japan; Mr. Chanwit Intarak from Thailand; Mr.Ratehata Rawsoongnern from Thailand.

 

Important topics on the foundation of Asian Society of Kinesiology(ASK) were discussed throughout the meeting.

 

           In the meeting, various subjects were discussed. First of all, the attendees went through the preparation of the 7th Asia Conference of Kinesiology which will be held on November 11 to 14, 2016 in Korea. As emphasized, this year¡¯s ACK will be the important foot step to announce the foundation of the Asian Society of Kinesiology(ASK). 

 

           Following that, topics in relation to the foundation of the Asian Society of Kinesiology (ASK) was discussed in depth. Especially, the attendees heated over the discussion to make the articles of the Asian Society of Kinesiology. Also the attendees made agreements to have five councils under the ASK including the Council of Kinesiologist Qualification(CKQ) and to publish the official journal of the Asian Society of Kinesiology. The integrated and customized qualification system is expected to cultivate physiology professionals in Asian society.

 

           At the end of the meeting, the long-term goal and the directions to further develop the ASK were discussed. All of the attendees reached the common ground for the importance of the ASK and shared the enthusiasm and expectations that the ASK will bring in the near future.
