GSSI WCKSS Excellence in Sports Science Award

The Gatorade Sports Science Institute (GSSI) is an official partner of 2025 WCKSS. Through this award, GSSI promotes young scientists and their research relating to sports science, sports nutrition and hydration to further advance the development of these scientific fields.

2025 WCKSS Organizing Committee

□  REQUIREMENTS

·         Award applicant and presenter are required to attend the 2025 WCKSS

·         Submitted abstract in the English Session (Oral)

·         Currently enrolled in a Master’s or PhD Program Applicants must be actively enrolled as a Master's or PhD student in Kinesiology, Sport Science, Sports Nutrition, Hydration, or a closely related scientific discipline.

·         submitted research must be original, unpublished, and directly relevant to the aforementioned scientific fields.

·         It should not have been published or accepted for publication

·         Exclusions:

o   Previous winners of the GSSI WCKSS Excellence in Sports Science Award are ineligible for subsequent competitions.

o   Employees of GSSI are not eligible for the GSSI Award.

o   Research directly funded by GSSI is ineligible for this award.

□  PRIZE

·         GSSI trophy

·         €2,000 for travel to ECSS 2026 in Lausanne

·         Complimentary registration for ECSS 2026

·         Opportunity to attend the GSSI Sports Nutrition track

·         Chance to meet leading sports scientist from across Europe
(Note: ECSS membership is required to be eligible for the prize.)
